1 January 2009 - 31 December 2009 :Labuan Silver Jubilee Celebration
Venue : Throughout Labuan Island
Labuan Federal Territory marks its 25th Silver Jubilee on 16 April 2009. A host of exciting events, entertainments and cultural performances will be held throughout the year to celebrate this important milestone.
1 February 2009 :Federal Territory Day Celebration
Venue : Labuan Square / Labuan International Sea Sports Complex
Labuan together with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya celebrating the Federal Territory Day on 1 February each year. Various cultural performances and sports carnival will be held at the Labuan Square and Labuan Sea Sports Complex.
15 April 2009 : Eve of Labuan Silver Jubilee
Venue : Labuan Square
Everyone gathers at the Labuan Square to celebrate the 25th years of Labuan as Federal Territory. They are so many things to do and to see during the celebration. Enjoy an evening of entartaining stage shows, cultural performances, floats parade and captivating fireworks.

28 April 2009 - 3 May 2009 : IGFA Labuan International Game Fishing Tournament
Venue : Layang-Layang Island
The prestigious and challenging event in the Asian region with six days five nights fishing expedition in waters around Layang - Layang Island, offers an attractive cash prizes and a chance to compete in other IGFA world class deep sea fishing circuit.
1 May 2009 : Labuan International Sea Challenge 2009 (LISC'09) - Labuan Cross Channel Swimming Challenge
Venue : Labuan - Papan Island - Labuan
Local and international swimmers compete in 5.4 km of open sea free style swimming from Labuan to Papan Island and back. Winners will stand a chance to win attractive cash prizes, trophies and certificates.

This 50 km kayak race along the perimeter shoreline of Labuan Island is one of the toughest challenges in the region. It tests the skills and stamina of the contestants. It consists of the individual, double and mix categories. Cash prizes together with trophies and certificates are for grabs.
3 May 2009 : Labuan International Sea Challenge 2009 - Kayak Sprint
Venue : Labuan International Sea Sports Complex
Crank up the stroke rate and keep it there! This is a race that challenges the skills and endurance level of every fit paddler. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates.
15 August 2009 - 16 September 2009 : The 52nd National Day Celebration
Venue : Throughout Labuan Island

8 November 2009 : Remembrance Day Ceremony
Venue : Labuan World War 2 Memorial
Friends and relatives of World War 2 victims from the Commonwealth Countries pay tributes to 3,908 fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Borneo. Come and observe this elaborate ceremony which conducted in full military tradition in the serenity of one of the largest war memorials in Malaysia.
